In any 12 month period, Balfours will be involved with sales and purchases of property with a value in excess of £200m.

Residential Lettings and Management
We are involved in the management of over 2,500 residential properties. Each year we will be involved in the letting of over 500 properties.

Estate Management
Balfours is the region’s largest firm of rural property managers involved in the day to day management of in hand and let properties, diversification projects and green energy installations, as well as ownership and inheritance issues.

Planning and Development
Achieving appropriate planning consent, without onerous conditions, is the key to releasing property value. Balfours knows how the system works, the course of action to follow and how to negotiate the best deal for our clients.

Building Design and Project Management
Involved in projects from £10k to £20m, our experience covers residential refurbishments, extensions and rebuilds, as well as agricultural and industrial constructions.

Farm Business Development and Diversification
Advise farmers how to assess, adapt, grow and diversify their business. We have been heavily involved in developing environmental stewardship schemes for clients with over 200 agreements currently in place.

Valuation and Insurance
Every year we carry out valuations totalling over £350m for all types and sizes of property, for a wide variety of purposes including financing.

Commercial
Balfours manage a range of commercial properties and telecommunication sites. We also undertake valuations on all types of commercial property and do so for major lending institutions.

Equestrian
Providing equestrian property related advice for commercial and leisure purposes. We design, develop, build and manage equestrian ventures using our equine property specialist.

Advising on renewable energy options and installations, along with sourcing ecological assessments and energy performance certificates.
