LOCAL NOTES Barroway Drove is a hamlet to the west of Downham Market and the River Great Ouse, in an area of productive arable farmland. Downham Market offers a good range of local shops, restaurants and amenities, including doctor's surgeries, and there is a selection of both good state and private schooling available nearby. There are excellent road links for commuters via the A10 to Ely, Cambridge and further afield. It has a mainline railway station with direct links to London Kings Cross (approx. 90 minutes), Cambridge and Kings Lynn.
